Bandai Namco is bringing its dark fantasy open world RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker to PS5 in 2026.
Described as the “first chapter” in an all-new saga from developer Rebel Wolves, the release will take full advantage of Unreal Engine 5.
Set in 14th century Europe, during a time of war and the Black death, you’ll assume the role of Coen, a youngster treading the line between the world of day and the realm of night. He's a vampire, in other words.
“Not fully human, not entirely a vampire, you have 30 days and nights to save your family or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way,” the blurb reads.

“The freedom in gameplay is reflected in Coen’s very nature as a Dawnwalker. Depending on the time of day, players will have different skills, abilities and storyline outcomes. Players must choose: do they fight for humanity or embrace the cursed powers?”

Most of what is known about the studio and game is certainly interesting to me but the footage of combat seemed a little off to me. Still, I'll wait until seeing proper unedited gameplay closer to release to make any judgement.
@BearsEatBeets I agree. The combat definitely felt a little off. Thats why they kept making cuts away from it.
Damn thats pretty soon my bet was early 2027
Looked rough.
its the studio made of people that worked on the witcher games , i think it will be good.
Saw a lot of cool games over the 3 shows, but this one was one of the most interesting ones to me. Great premise and some cool mechanics at play. We'll see if they stick the landing.
The atmosphere and world look fantastic, but apprehensive about the “30 Days and Nights” - not a fan of overall game time limits, especially in open world affairs, but will see how it goes.
Looks like a more action oriented Vampyr. Same premise without the “turn of the century medicine”. Meh.
Looks interesting. Gives me Legacy of Kain vibes.
Witcher music, Witcher combat. Not Witcher writing or polish yet
