If you're on the market for a frantic arcade racer, Neon Apex: Beyond the Limit might be worth a look.
Having just been fitted with a 16th May release date, this futuristic speed-'em-up is promising anime-inspired vibes and cool cel-shaded visuals.
Okay, so it's not quite our beloved WipEout in terms of presentation, but the sheer speed that's on offer might just scratch that same itch. The electronic soundtrack has potential, too.
The game's campaign is based around winning street races and upgrading your ride. Watching the competition go up in a ball of flame is apparently an option as well.

It may not be a new Wipeout, but I'll take it
Aye, could be tempted, next week is already full though with Doom and The Precinct.
@ShogunRok Does anyone have a review of The Midnight Walk coming out soon?
"Could Scratch Your Wipeout Itch" would be a good name for a new racing game. Or a hemorrhoid cream.😂
Hmmm could be good tbh! but all my attention will be on The Precinct next week
Switch 2 has Fast Fusion which looks just like wipeout, they should port that across
It looks interesting enough.
As a hardcore WipEout fanboy, this isn't scratching the itch, but looks like a solid arcade racer (of which there's an obvious dearth this gen), so I'll be keeping an eye on this.
@Oram77 We're working on one, but won't make today's embargo unfortunately.
I really don't like the artistic style or art design of this one. Cell shading just doesn't seem to match. Even the lightning coming out the back of the car is distracting and takes up too much of the screen at times. But i'll keep on eye on it anyway, maybe it will surprise and delight.
