In a press release, Akira Yamaoka said he's poured a "tremendous amount" of passion and thought into the Silent Hill series while working as its composer. "Touching it again evoked a special emotion I had never felt before — as if I was touching the breath of God. Writing this music was a personal challenge, but I feel a deep sense of gratitude towards the people around the world who have loved this series for so long."

One of 2024's best PS5 games, Silent Hill 2 provided a phenomenal experience, and the soundtrack worked to create a terrifying, suspenseful atmosphere throughout the town. In our Silent Hill 2 PS5 review, we awarded a 9/10 and said the PS2 classic has been modernised in "all the right ways".
"So much of what made the Konami classic a masterpiece in 2001 remains in this PS5 remake 23 years later, with the same unforgettable story, satisfying exploration, and weighty combat. There were concerns in the lead-up to release, but Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself: a spectacular experience that once again represents survival horror at its best."

Exactly what I was looking for to play to my wife during our romantic evening time.
I was a bit surprised the game had such a large tracklist, but I checked on (whispers) Spotify and would you look at that..
@Czar_Khastik tbh, a lot of it is quite nice.
As a record collector myself this would be pretty cool to own.
@kyleforrester87 Really? Well thanks, I'll check it out if it's available on Tidal
Sorry, but have to note:
It’s “vinyl,” not “vinyls.” The plural of vinyl is vinyl. (Like the plural of “deer” is “deer”.) If that looks/sounds too weird to your eyes/ears, then “records” or “vinyl records.”
The vinyl itself looks great in both red and white
I just want the steelbook, as the artwork for looks amazing.
This is very neat, but aside from maybe Halloween I don't know when if ever it would get any play. Wicked soundtrack. Bought the Hotline Miami 2 vinyl collection years ago and it basically collects dust.
I’m waiting for the wax cylinder edition.
Nooooo why did you say "vinyls"??? I died a little inside 😩
Well this looks lovely , but I feel I'd spend more time looking at it than actually playing it , would actually look great framed and on a wall
@Chibbie "Sorry, but have to note:

I was going to say this but didnt want to sound pedantic. If were really going there id drop the "vinyl" all together and call them what they are, records.
Well, in the digital hellscape that both corporate overlords and certain commenters on this very site are so keen on, why would anyone want this.
It looks and sounds SOOOO much better in my Spotify playlist…
(To me personally, this looks fantastic)
