HBO's second season of The Last of Us is very nearly upon us, and as the weather gets warmer, you'll be pleased to know that Joel's jacket isn't just a nice costume piece — it's a garment available at retail.
Yes, if you want the Joel Miller look, you can buy and wear his exact jacket from the TV adaptation.
Available exclusively from Huckberry, the Flint and Tinder Flannel-Lined Waxed Trucker Jacket was hand-picked for Joel.
It may sound like a paid placement of the item, but apparently, it was chosen as the best fit for the character without Huckberry's involvement.
The show's costume team "bought as many waxed jackets as they could—50 to 100 options across brands and manufacturers," says Ben O’Meara, Huckberry's Chief Brand Officer. "They put each through extensive wear-testing — evaluating quality, construction, how each patina-ed, the fit and style. In the end, ours rose to the top."
If you did want to grab the jacket, it's a pretty pricey $298, and comes in four colours. To our eye, it looks like Joel is wearing Field Tan.
