I think guaranteed successes are few and far between:

A Killzone remaster/remake might sell OK, same with an Infamous one (but probably not gangbusters)

Anything else, I just dont see the market for it. They wont flop but they're going to sell like 100-200K copies if they make a new Socom or Resistance or Twisted Metal or whatever. Theres just no market for it. If there was...the game would already have been made

This isn’t 70% of fans, it’s 70% of the users of this site and that is an important distinction. That 70% of PushSquare users represent a good share of a more hardcore audience but it would be a fraction of that number if this included the average PlayStation fan. If there was mainstream interest in these games then Sony would have already made them.

@naruball My guess is only 1% from those 75% who will buy. The rest are just parotting what others said but they actually never vote with their money.

Id like another Wipeout but going back to basics to the actual racing instead of throwing time trials, eliminator and zone laps in to the single player.

Website polls are only representative of the views of people that frequent the website(s).

Which isn’t to say they have no value but they might not align with the views of the public at large.

I am not saying there is no money to be made by resurrecting dead franchises, but it’s worth keeping in mind most of them die due to consumer indifference or because the developer decided they wanted to move on either because they ran out of ideas or because some other concept interested them more.

Maybe we can finally get champions of Norrath remasters. And a remake or sequel to rogue galaxy.
Also bring back Siren.

they should licence them out. sony arnt making money off not using the IP so let someone else make the games therefore they take all the risk and sony make a cut based on no work

i’ve been dying for a new twisted metal, it’s a shame david jaffe studio got shutdown i pretty much loved all the games he was in charge of including the ps2 god of wars, i never got to play drawn to death though because i never heard of it.

I want motorstorm & Infamous, . Astrobot is fine, but i would’ve taken Sly or Jak over it anyday. I’ve come to terms with Killzone being dead, because i’m just fatigued as hell of FPS right now

I'm against all these PS4-PS5 remasters ('cos they're pointless) but it's mainly the PS3 era stuff that NEEDS remastering as the PS5 isn't grunty enough to emulate the Cell architecture.

So, we need:
1. Motorstorm
2. Wipeout
3. ModNation Racers
Heck, might as well throw LBP in there too (for 1 & 2 ) as MM aren't working on a new one apparently.

It makes no sense. Any one who has a ps5 already can either buy the ps1/2 titles or rent them via ps+ premium. Just throwing a few titles that few people are interested in on the switch is not likely to make much difference. What would make sense would be to develop new titles based on the existing IP's but that would require more extensive contracts.

@naruball Probably not. You have alot of players who just want freebies and never want to depart with any cash.

I think in terms of any of the platformers Sony owns, license them out for a AA sized adventure. I'm sure they'd sell well and get interest back in the franchise.

I'd love to see Resistance back for a well done single player adventure. How can Gears of War be making its 5th entry, but Resistance stuck on a trilogy and psp entry.

What a great chance to bring back SOCOM for PS6 and PS VR especially

Split Fiction has a short Cool Boarders style part of a level which made me really want a revival of that series.

Sony should just give gravity rush series to bandai namco since they're not going to do anything with the series 😕
