You’re going to need a bit of a powerhouse PC if you plan to play Krafton’s super impressive The Sims-like InZOI.
The Korean company released recommended specs for the game earlier this week, and even at Minimum or Medium settings you’re going to need a beefy rig.

While it’s practically impossible to truly understand how this would scale to the PS5 due to the unique nature of console architectures, it does suggest some serious optimisation would be required to bring this game to console.
In fact, if you read through the developer’s more detailed instructions, it’s basically recommending players use a form of upscaling like DLSS or FSR 3 whichever settings they choose.

For those who don’t know, upscaling works by taking a lower resolution image and using machine learning to reconstruct it at a higher resolution. This reduces computational overheads, and is similar to the technology found in the PS5 Pro.
All of this means that, while InZOI looks amazing, it may be difficult for the game to reach the broad player base of rivals like The Sims.
The developer effectively acknowledged this fact: “As mentioned earlier, InZOI delivers high-quality graphics and realistic city-level simulations, which require higher system specifications. While these requirements ensure the best possible gameplay experience, we remain committed to making InZOI accessible to more players.
“We will continue working on optimisations to improve performance while finding ways to lower system requirements without compromising overall quality.”
