Luck Be a Landlord, a roguelike arcade game released on PC and mobile in 2023, is heading to consoles at last.

The indie title, made by developer TrampolineTales, is coming to both PS5 and PS4 on 6th February, 2025.

If you're out of the loop, Luck Be a Landlord is a game in which you must spin a customisable slot machine in order to win enough coins to pay your rent. The rent goes up each time, but you can add symbols to the slot machine, as well as passive items, to increase the amount you can rack up with each spin.

While it has a very simple aesthetic, players and critics have praised the surprising depth found in the various combinations of symbols and items you can obtain. Finding these synergies and earning big payouts is a major part of the draw.

Despite revolving around a slot machine and containing elements of luck, the game features no microtransactions or ways to gamble real money.

It's one of the main inspirations behind the beloved Balatro, which was not intended to be a single-player roguelike title until after developer LocalThunk discovered Luck Be a Landlord.

This is one game we've been curious to try, so we're pleased to see it make the leap to consoles, and it's not too far away either.
