The latest Mortal Kombat 1 guest character, Conan the Barbarian, will be available for Kombat Pack 2 owners to play from 21st January 2025 in a week of early access. The fighter becomes available for everyone else on 28th January, leaving standard players an extra seven days to mull over the gameplay trailer above.
Equipped with his iconic sword, Conan features the likeness of Arnold Schwarzenegger and "stands ready to defend Earthrealm against the vile beings that mean to conquer it" in Mortal Kombat 1. His moveset is built around the Atlantean Sword in question, as he slashes and dices his foes. "The master blade-wielder can perform complex manoeuvres with the imposing steel weapon, including his intricate sword spinning and signature overhead chop to take down opponents with brute force."
For his fatality, Conan the Barbarian kicks his opponent up against a barrel of boiling liquid. He cuts their arm off, then stabs them through the mouth and lifts them into the barrel to shed them of their skin, right down to the bone. Nice!

MK1 was such a mistake to buy. I enjoyed playing the story, but after that I just never cared to go back to it. Especially after all greedy BS that happened with it. At least it's a physical copy so I can trade it in for whatever price Gamestop is offering.
@Nepp67 Yup. Felt like a massive step back from 11. They're just treading water at this point.
That Fatal Blow was brutal as hell. He looks like a ton of fun and now i want a Conan game with this character model as he looks perfect.
@Nepp67 Fun fact MK1 is way less greedy then SF6 and is about on par with Tekken 8 in greed with its season passes actually offering more value then Tekken 8's passes.
@DennisReynolds SF6 is less greedy than Tekken 8? Never played SF6 other than its demo, but that just sounds unbelievable lol. Even then MK1 was just forgettable with how lacking its content was compared to MK11.
Comic book Conan looks so much more iconic than Arnold in a wig.
@Nepp67 No i meant MK1 is less greedy then SF6 and MK1 is about on par with Tekken 8 with greed though both do different things in that regard. MK1 actually has a decent amount of content now that MK11 style Towers have been added and Invasions has been overhauled to be far less grindy.
Still think MK XL is the best game of them all.

Is Sonja already a playable character or not otherwise MK1 is the biggest joke this generation of fighting games. Such a joke that they leave out classic characters and bring in all these guest characters for the kids.
