BioWare's always been quick to share player statistics for its games. In particular, the developer used to spark heated debates amongst fans whenever it revealed data for Mass Effect. And while we doubt that these early points of interest for Dragon Age: The Veilguard will prove very surprising, they still provide some welcome insight into the character creation process.
So, to start with, class selection is actually a very even split. Mage barely wins out with 40% of players opting for magic-based combat, while Warrior and Rogue are at 30% each.
Next up, boring old humans are the most popular choice for Rook's race, at 43%. Elves are second with 40%, while Qunari โ in all of their horned glory โ have been chosen just 11% of the time. Dwarves come in at only 6% โ but that's probably heavily impacted by the fact that dwarves can't be Mages.
And then there are factions, which decide your hero's background. At the top, we've got an even 24% split between the classic Grey Wardens and the edgy Shadow Dragons. After that, it's the Antivan Crows at 16%, the Veil Jumpers at 15%, the Lords of Fortune at 11%, and finally, The Mourn Watch at 10%. The idea of spending your days in a giant necropolis isn't all that appealing, we suppose.
