Saturday Night Slam Masters is the available retro game

There’s new summer content to enjoy in the outstanding Street Fighter 6 this week, with a new Fighting Pass featuring a sunny samba theme. The premium tier comes with a ton of goodies, including some distinctly elaborate avatar gear, an emote, Mike Haggar’s theme, and much more. You’ll also get access to the amazing Saturday Night Slam Masters game, along with some stickers inspired by it.

Elsewhere, the game is partnering with Japanese sushi chain SUSHIRO with a new Battle Hub photo spot and a chance to unlock themed avatar gear. You can check out all of the content in the trailer above.

@SleeplessKnight This update is for Battle Hub mode where players can customize and play with their avatar. In Battle Hub, players can also play classic Capcom arcade games or participate in online tournaments.

@PuppetMaster Ok thanks for the clarification. Saturday Night Slam Masters being included is actually pretty cool. I've been on the fence when it comes to buying SF6. Assuming you own it/play it how does it compare to SF5 and SF4 as far as game play, roster etc?

@SleeplessKnight Yes i own it. For gameplay, i personally prefer SF 6 over 4 and 5. I still enjoyed 4 and 5 a lot though because they offered different mechanics.

But if you're a casual players, i think SF 6 is more friendly for you because Capcom add Modern control where you don't need to do motion input but with the sacrifice of your damage output is 20-30% less than Classic control.

The tutorial and training mode are much better too along with superb online netcode which definitely far better than SF 4 and 5. You can crossplay between PS, Xbox, and PC so there's no worries you can't find anyone to play. And there's wi-fi / wired symbol if you want to avoid wi-fi players.

Not to mention the single player contents are great. I already mention Battle Hub but there's World Tour mode where you can used your avatar to play the story campaign, interact with Ryu Ken Chun Li etc to learn their special moves and found out their hobbies or stories, and more playing tips with beginner to advanced level.

As for the roster, since this is early Season 2, i say it is pretty solid with 23 characters that plays quite different one from another. Even shotos like Ryu, Ken, and Akuma all plays quite different and have their own pros and cons. The base roster has 18 characters with 11 classic characters (Ryu Ken Chun Guile Honda Blanka Gief Dhalsim Cammy Juri DeeJay) and 7 new characters.

My only complaint so far is the moneytization. SF 5 is friendlier since you can unlocked DLC characters for free by grinding Fight Money. But for SF 6, you can't unlock DLC characters for free. So, if you want to buy SF 6, i reccomend grab the Season Pass when it's on sale.

@PuppetMaster Thanks for the detailed reply! From everything you described I'm definitely going to pickup the game at some point when it goes on sale here. I think I just missed a sale on it which sucks but I'm sure it'll go on sale again. Cheers.
