If you've been patiently waiting for the arrival of Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, it may be coming much quicker than you think. A recent report from The Loadout states that, in publisher Nacon's latest earnings report, the game is slated for release by 31st March 2024 at the latest.
The racer will arrive before the end of the financial year 2023. Barring any setbacks, we'll all be racing the streets of Hong Kong within the next couple of months.
Nacon and developer KT Racing haven't shown an awful lot of the game yet, although we did get a fairly meaty showing of gameplay and a decent in-engine trailer last year. It's been a long road for Solar Crown so far; the game was unveiled back in 2020, and it's been a very slow drip-feed of information ever since. Now, though, it appears the game is very nearly here.

Test Drive Unlimited: Corona huh?
I really enjoyed Unlimited 2 on PS3. I hope this scratches that itch.
On PlayStation 5? Are they sure they want to do this?
PSP was the last time I played TD. Let's hope it's okay.
I just hope it's more like Unlimited 1 than it is 2. That freedom to do whatever race or challenge you wanted to, or just go off and explore the island, without a narrator or cut scene telling you what to do next, made it a lot more about the cars and races. Unlimited 2 with its guided narrative felt more like it was a Need For Speed game.
I used to love just driving around on TDU back on the 360. I'll definitely look out for reviews on this
I hope they stick to their old games type and vibe. Not the next forza horizon copy.
From what I have seen so far It looks like a departure from the first 2 games and not in a good way.. This will stay on my maybe list for now.

Loved TDU on Xbox 360 just driving around the island was rather relaxing, but TDU2 was a disaster especially on PC I have it on Steam before it was taken off and it still dials out the server for activating before it installs.
The performance is awful and it looks awful too
TOTALLY DISAPOINTED !!!! just went on Amazon to see if they have it ,( Playstation doesn't even have a pre order option ) and it says release date Dec. 31 2024 .. ENOUGH TEASING AND RELEASE IT !!! We have waited long enough
