Side-scrolling action adventure Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will offer up a playable demo shortly before launch. On 11th January, 2024, you'll be able to take the game for a spin before it launches a week later on PS5 and PS4.

This news arrives alongside a brand new story trailer, focusing on protagonist Sargon, whose quest is to rescue the titular prince. He's the youngest in a group called the Immortals, and it looks as though one of his comrades will betray him. On top of that, the usual flow of time seems to be thrown off-kilter, resulting in lots of time-meddling puzzles and abilities for our hero.

The game continues to look really promising, and lest we forget, it's being built by the team behind Rayman Origins and Legends, so the 2D pedigree is strong. Are you excited to play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown? Hack and slash the comments section below.
