Elden Ring is an incredible game that looms large in the memory of many fans, and the wait for DLC expansion Shadow of the Erdtree has been long. Released in February of 2022, anticipation ahead of The Game Awards is reaching a fever pitch as FromSoftware adherents attempt to summon a DLC release date, trailer, or anything at this point, and that's despite the developer recently stating it's "a little ways off".
IGN corralled some instances from Twitter, and the game's subreddit is littered with still more. From the arcane to the medically inadvisable, players are apparently prepared to do anything to manifest this dream. Details on Shadow of the Erdtree remain scarce, but like Bloodborne DLC The Old Hunters, players can look forward to "new battles and new characters. Please look forward to new things."
