Hotline Miami PS5

All-timer indie Hotline Miami is getting a PS5 version, it seems. Trophies for the currently unannounced port have surfaced on trinket-tracking sites like Exophase, meaning that they're live on PlayStation servers. And it's the same with the somewhat divisive sequel, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

When Trophy sets appear online like this, it's usually a clear indicator that things are happening. We wouldn't be at all surprised if publisher Devolver Digital deploys the PS5 ports out of nowhere in the very near future.

First released in 2013 on PS3 and Vita — and pushed to PS4 a year later — Hotline Miami felt like a defining moment for the indie scene, which, at the time, was really starting to find its feet. A hyperviolent, top-down, level-based action game, Hotline Miami was packed with adrenaline-pumping gameplay and fantastic tunes.

We're not quite sure what a PS5 version could add — besides a new Trophy set, obviously — but would you play Hotline Miami again? What about its sequel? Try not to be killed by off-screen gunfire in the comments section below.
