Guilty Gear Strive Player Numbers

Guilty Gear Strive is currently, er, gearing up for its third season of DLC characters and updates, with more info inevitably being unleashed during Evo 2023 this weekend. It's an exciting time for fans of the often stunning fighting game, and in a bid to push the hype even further, Arc System Works has revealed that Strive has attracted over 2.5 million players since its launch in 2021.

That's an impressive tally for a title from a niche franchise in a relatively niche genre. And while player numbers don't necessarily reflect sales — especially since Strive hit Game Pass earlier this year — you've still got to admire the seemingly vast reach.

Last we heard, Strive is the best-selling Guilty Gear game by some distance. It sold over 500,000 copies in just over a month after its release, and if 2.5 million players have got their hands on it since then, we'd assume it's been a surefire commercial success for Arc System Works.
