Want More Metal Gear Solid Remakes for PS5? You Need to Ensure Konami Knows

I'm all for full on remakes as the tech availible now means that the devs are able to create the very best version of their original vision free of the constraints that shackled their creativity. What i dont want is lazy remasters charading as remakes as we see that all to often and the premium prices they charge for crappy rehashes is just insulting.

In other words. We promise something now that you want, that we probably are not going to do, so that you by our game at launch.

Well if Konami want me to "let them know" via my purchase they better not balls up snake eater remake and 1,2,3 remasters. If they come good then we will both be happy. I will purchase and then they "will know".

Do we need/want more Kojima-less remakes-wannabies ? Do we now?

These are bound to fail... I have absolutely no faith in Konami.

@Mad001 I think that both PS4 and PS5 don't play Compact Disks in a hardware level.

So, if we buy the games they will make sequels... Shocking!

Release good games and the people will buy, Konami.

I'd love MGS4. Great memories from that one.

I'll take a remake of every MGS game prior to MGSV before I take a brand new entry from Konami, after how they treated Kojima and then went on to make the abomination that was Metal Gear Survive, I don't truet them to do justice to MGS.

Sure I'm willing to give them a chance with Silent Hill, only because IMO it's a lot harder to screw up a Silent Hill game than a Metal Gear Solid game.

I want Metal Gear 1&2 remakes. They should have started with those.

So after giving gamers and Kojima the finger, we are suppose to reward them doubly for a remake of an existing game? Let's sit back and reminisce on those thoughts.

I am happy that Kojima had nothing to do with this. He would have probably made the games into walking simulators.

@Czar_Khastik I would actually love an AC!d bundle, though the first was a pain to play in hindsight. I put countless hours into part 2 though.

I did enjoy the twin snakes even though there were many detractors of it. Especially the over the top action directed and choreographed by Ryuhei Kitamura were so much fun. People saying those were too unrealistic... in MGS 😂

I mean, of course this is self-evident. If MGS delta sells abysmally and loses money then we won’t see any more of these. But this should be like printing money for Konami — just don’t flub it up. If you need advice Komani, ask Bluepoint or Capcom. They’ve nailed remakes. Maybe don’t ask Square-Enix, as FF7 Remake was a great game and sold well, I think MGS: Kingdom Hearts Edition wouldn’t fly with this particular series 😜.
But in all seriousness, I expect we get something closer to The Last of Us Remake, Demon’s Souls Remake, Dead Space Remake, or Shadow of the Colossus Remake where it’s the exact same game with new assets and a few quality of life updates.

Both Snake Eater remake and vol 1 are easily no brainer day ones. There's a lot less to mess up with a remake and a collection. Just happy to be getting more MGS on a modern console tbh. Just really hoping vol 2 has Phantom Pain and MGS4. MGS1 on vol 1 comes with trophies would be nice. Yes I know remakes can still mess things up but I trust it, as everything I've heard so far and screenshots seem promising

They want me to spend my money on their new game? Rehire Kojima, apologise, give him all the money and resources he needs. Then I'll buy their cosplay, Disney Star Wars, Metal Gear Solid tribute game

Oh bugger off. That's not how this works. Make a good product and I'll buy it. That's how the relationship between consumer and corporation works.

Holding a license to ransom unless people buy a port collection doesn't exactly fill me with confidence for what they do have planned tbh.

To be fair, while MGS is one of my favorite gaming series, the actual storyline is about as convoluted as Kingdom Hearts.

they have a lot of work to do to ensure this remake is worthy of our time, let alone financial investment. if it is worth picking up, i don't think i will purchase the game "new" so my sale will not count towards their future evaluations of the franchise haha (konami will never see another dime from me... i don't have a short memory of their wrongdoings like many others do). anything mgs related, i can take it or leave it at this point without kojima's involvement.

They also need to deliver a good remake. I'm glad it's faithful with returning voice actors like David. But they better not screw it up!

Goes 2 ways. You want our money, we want a good product. Would love a remaster/remake/reimagining of the lot. There is the possibility of all that if Konami put the fans of the series at the front when making these titles.

Wrong start point for me. MGS was always the best one.

My expectation right now is I'll be pre-ordering this whenever I get chance, but will be keeping an eye on how this develops.

I've enjoyed mgs3 when I first played it. I thought it was awesome. But now, I don't play shooting games anymore so not sure if I'll pick it up. But I do like the stealth part of the game and being able to disguise myself. It was also the only game I knew, where destroying the food or ammunition warehouses would affect the enemies.
