Cocoon from Geometric Interactive was named our SGF Game of the Show based solely on its opening 40 minutes of gameplay, and now we know when we'll get to experience the entire thing. As part of this year's Annapurna Interactive Showcase, it has been confirmed the incredibly promising indie title will launch for PS5, PS4 on 29th September 2023.
The announcement was shared in a new trailer, which you can catch above. Placing Cocoon in late September means — at least right now — the game has a bit of time to itself. Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is out three days before, but then it's a few weeks before the big hitters some calling again in Assassin's Creed Mirage, Alan Wake II, and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. This will give Cocoon a bit of time in the limelight.
