Battlefield 2042 is getting a new limited-time event called Leviathan Rising, which introduces a tight, 8v8 competitive mode in which teamwork and nerves of steel will be essential. It runs from 11th April until the 25th, and we got an explosive trailer showing it in action.
This more focused game mode is called Shutdown, and should provide a welcome respite for players used to 2042's expansive battlefields. We imagine the change of scenery won't stop that one teammate from running a sniper anyway, but we digress.

Looking forward to it, just recently I went back on bf3 and played a bit of close quarters dlc and had a blast.
At least this one would be a whole lot more populated than bf3.
Don't get me wrong I really like bf but this trailer is generic as it comes especially with the gruff American voice overš¤£
It's sad how all these serious shooter games are making the characters look like how the overcommitted gamers look with their hoodies and facemasks lol. Same with cod. Really miss the tone of games from back in the day
