Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is getting a second demo on PS5 and PS4, and like the first go around, players that beat it will be rewarded with an item in the full game, the "Crouching Dragon Helmet". You can dive into the demo on 24th February and the complete retail release on 3rd March.
We've been treated to quite a bit of gameplay for Wo Long, getting to see boss encounters in addition to some high-level play. With the excellent Nioh and Nioh 2 under its belt, Team Ninja has shown it can build a fiendish combat system, and we look forward to bashing our heads against whatever nightmares the developers have concocted.
Will you be playing through the second Wo Long: Fallen Kingdom demo, or are you hanging tough until the full game releases, helmet be damned? Square off in the comments section below.
I will wait for it to be a ps plus game before I play it.
If I can pull my new VR headset off my face I might give it a go..
@Sequel Soulsborne game in VR when?
I'm hanging in until launch and going in fresh. Been really looking forward to this since it was announced
The helm is apparently the same reward as in the technichal alpha-stresstest they released a few months ago, but this time your progress carries over to the full game if I remember correctly.
Either way, apart from PSVR2, this is most likely the Game Of The Year for me. It's just something with Team Ninjas games that makes me prefer them over From Software's games.
Not counting Bloodborne of course. That Beast of a game is GOAT and unbeatable as the best Soulsgame ever imho.
I'm going to wait. I'm probably in the minority but I never enjoyed the whole carry save data over thing. I just want to enjoy it all at once. I'm doing the same for Theatrhythm Final Bar Line, I know there's a demo that carries over but would rather just experience it all fresh.
@KaijuKaiser If it's like the Nioh (1&2) demos you could play to first boss and get some great starter gear in your inventory and when the full game released you could use that gear on a fresh character. Not sure if they handle the loot same way in this game to be honest but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
And... the helm you get if you beat the demo is usually an +XP helm that you can use from level 1 but all the other helms are like level 10 or 12 and upwards. Nothing truly important but still a nice perk I think.
The first demo was excellent. I already decided to buy this game, and will pass this new demo since I want a fresh experience. However, this new demo is highly recommended for action RPG fans who are unfamiliar with the game (especially if you are a soulsborne fan, just like me).
I'm hankering to play this, so will give the demo a go when it's out! Intend to do a coop run with a friend, who's going in blind, but I've noticed that there's always a few surprises in the final release, compared to the demo, so I'm expecting to get thoroughly slapped still!
Cool. more wo long fallen dynasty is welcome.word up son
Pre-ordered and ready to go. Cannot wait!
I wish I could play the demo but I just don't have any time between now and March 3rd. So I'm gunna book out that whole weekend and bed in with the full release. Hello Han Dynasty China, goodbye outside world.
Nice to know there will be a second demo! Thanks for sharing.
Wow the second demo is bad. This game. Looks and plays like an early ps4 game. This genuinely. Looks a huge step worse than Nioh 2. Same terrible loot system and UI as well. Kinda bummed. A good bit of fun for free on gamepass. However l, no way I'm paying full price based on the demo I just ran through.
Downloaded the demo. I’m a rpg fan but found this dire to say the least. Uninstalled it within an hour.
