Is it finally time for a new Ultimate Ninja Storm game? As spotted by Gematsu, publisher Bandai Namco has registered a trademark for something called 'Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections' in Europe, naturally leading fans to wonder whether CyberConnect2's popular Naruto fighting game series is about to be continued.
The last game in the franchise was 2016's Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 on PS4, which was (and still is) a fantastic anime-based brawler. Given that was a whole six years ago, you've got to wonder if the Japanese developer has been cooking up another instalment.
'Connections' is a weird subtitle though, isn't it? It's hard to say what another Ultimate Ninja Storm game could be based around, given that Storm 4 dealt with the closing act of Naruto Shippuden. Maybe it's all about Boruto? We'll have to wait and see — this could be some kind of mobile spinoff for all we know.

Absolutely loved the recent Naruto Storm games. Shinobi Striker was fun but Storm is my definitive series. The Botuto manga has covered a good bit of content and the games ripe for another entry. Can't wait!

Off topic but I own the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy collection (steel book). Its definitely the most valuable PS4 game (s), which is so weird as the PS4 ain’t that old. Must have been a limited print.
We don't need another storm game by CC2 , especaily not based on that filler abomination called boruto.
Please just give the IP to Arcsys, so that they can make a Naruto fighting game like dragonball fighter Z.
Love the games, played them all even tho the combat is pretty the same for every character, in every installment.
@rachetmarvel I can understand why people don't like Boruto, but if you watch it - I mean literally watch it for what it is - I think its enjoyable.
Obviously use the same rules as watching Naruto, so skip fillers, etc. The story, new characters, whilst not as loved as the characters in Naruto, are quite well written and have all the nuances you'd expect. Avoid fillers because if you use that to judge the series you will absolutely hate it. The karma and Kawaki are such good plot points and definitely made the anime actually good.

I definitely missed getting hyped for a Naruto Storm game so I welcome this. But I'd really love to see a Bleach Ultimate Soul Reaper Storm right about now 😂
Love the Ninja Storm games and I haven't really followed Naruto since the manga ended so I don't really know much about Boruto. That being said, I'll definitely play this and it might make me get into Boruto so bring it on.

I think Boruto is doomed for now due to the way it begins. Seeing that fight between Kawaki and Boruto is all I'm waiting for whenever I'm watching Boruto. Now we got to trudge along while we watch 300+ episodes of lesser stakes just so were caught up to the beginning. I wish they just took their time after Shippuden ended so they didn't have to start Boruto in such an attention grabbing way where it is so clear they were making it up as they go.
Until they get to that point in that flash forward from the beginning, the show is doomed. Even then, they kinda ruined the legacy of so many people's favourite characters in media.
@rachetmarvel its def not an abomination. Its not as good as Naruto but its a pretty well made manga/anime. I think the games need a new formula though.
A big Naruto announcement was teased for Jump Festa a few weeks ago and a new Storm game was what a lot of us Naruto fans speculated it could be. I would be so happy if this was true a big Storm game that covers the entire Story in one game with and everyone is here style roster. (I'd like them to ignore the awful Boruto stuff but unfortunately that wouldn't happen 😅)
@Fight_Teza_Fight I own that too I think it was a limited thing Storm Legacy was a mostly digital only game with the few physical copies being the incredible steel case ^__^
@Judal27 Dude that would be incredible I've been praying for a CC2 Bleach Storm game for over a decade with Bleach going through a big comeback now would be a perfect time to do it
@Keyblade-Dan same I was really hoping the tease they did for another fighting game was for bleach but it turned out to be demon slayer. Not that it's a bad thing but the roster is kinda weak rn. Bleach has a great cast of characters to choose from just with the TYBW arc alone
@Judal27 Definitely I mean they could do the whole of Bleach from start to finish giving us an incredible roster I did love Hinokami Chronicles it was incredible but yeah because it only covered like 26 episodes and Mugen Train the roster was a little light 😅 hopefully if we do get a new Naruto Storm as it seems we may they'll do Bleach afterwards ^__^
@theMEGAniggle I also don't think Boruto is as bad as everyone claims his story and character to be.
Though I haven't actually seen his movie or series yet...the completionist in me wants to go back and watch all of the Shippuden filler that I skipped.

Honestly I'd say go watch Naruto & Shippuden. You'll love it. Movies aren't necessary. When you do that you'll probably like Boruto less but it is still enjoyable.
What's happening currently in the anime? Been waiting for them to get off the filler content for what seems like a year 😭

I've already seen all of Naruto, most of Shippuden, and almost all the films. I've been a diehard Naruto fan since the English dub first premiered on Toonami back in 2005.
Only reason my username is KidBoruto is because Boruto is the current main series/character, despite having never experienced it myself.
@KidBoruto I read your comment wrong, my bad. You'll have to check it out for sure though. As long as you only watch the manga canon episodes you'll have a good time, skip the filler because there is a lot

However I will be sure to keep track of which episodes are manga canon.
@KidBoruto trust me, you will regret that with Boruto 😂. The anime "canon" stuff isn't horrible but you realise a lot is just a copy of some of OG Naruto and some of Shippuden's arcs.
The filler is just, well you know how bad filler can be.
The manga canon is so good tho, I wish it was only manga canon.
@theMEGAniggle Gotcha! I just feel like I haven't finished an anime unless I've seen everything, including the filler.
