Wait who asked for a remake of this ps4 game? From what I recall remarking ps4 games was considered a waste or resources. To be fair I have not played this game and to it may not perform well in the ps4...

Haha what an absolutely mental week this has turned out to be. I am honestly starting to wonder if the rumours of there being a cancelled PlayStation showcase were true and now we are going to get trickles of gaming news over the coming weeks, as an alternative.

There HAS to be something in this or else it is just cruel.

As the article points out, Sony's official account does this every week or so, asking fans if they can identify select PlayStation games.

If it were a tease, knowing Sony recently, it would probably be for a PC port rather than a console remake or remaster.

It shows just how tone-deaf Sony can be at times, and it proves that people are still desperate for anything related to Bloodborne. The reaction on Twitter has been huge, and the tweet's only been up for half an hour at the time of writing.

It's likely just because Halloween is right around the corner and this (incredible, amazing, all-time great) game fits that theme more than most.

@ShogunRok Fair enough, wasn't their an uproar when they did it to horizon? As there's a rumoured remake for that as well.

@STOBO Official numbers had it over 2 million copies — but that was back in 2016. Not a massive blockbuster, but by all accounts, it did very well for itself.

@rjejr yeah but you're leaving out the fact that the Last of Us was already remastered and the only reason people are asking for a bloodborne remaster or remake is because from soft is so arrogant and so ignorant that they will not even try to fix their career long frame rate and optimization issues in their games.

They're not going to up the frame rate and make a beloved classic more playable so that's why people are begging for another Studio to come out and remaster the unfixed garbage technical issues that from soft continues to put out using their same old engine.

Supposedly Sony own the IP, but maybe there’s some deal in the publishing contract that future releases have to be multi platform or something. Would explain why they pretend BB doesn’t exist 99% of the time.

If people are begging for a Remake of a 2015 game, then said people have no moral right to question any other remakes, including 2017 HZD. I feel like Bloodborne should stay as is, it's a classic regardless of fps or whatnot. Almost felt like rebuying it the other day even though I've platted it but remembering the repetitive grinding because of its linearity, I said naahh, that's where Elden Ring shines. A remake might be too polished it may remove the charm of that gritty dark look.

I do not get this at all. The article states that they do this every week. In this instance, they have chosen Bloodborne, a popular PlayStation game. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It’s let of an ongoing guess the game quiz for mild entertainment. There is literally nothing more to read into it.

@rjejr I absolutely wouldn't even consider it a possibility that Fromsoft would ever be involved in it aside from consuktatiin/approval. It would need to be an outside studio. Fromsoft is not capable of the humble attitude to consider their products could be improved.

However I agree it should absolutely be an upgrade for a remaster. They all friggin should in my opinion if they are mere visual and performance upgrades to already released and purchased content.

It doesn't need a remake/remaster. Just a 60fps patch that is literally TWO lines of code, and upscaling. People on modded PS4 Pro and PS5's can play 60fps. Plus 4k upscaling on the PS5, still at 60fps. There's really no excuse.

I can understand people being abit upset if Sony did a capcom & teased a game that looked alot like Bloodborne at first just for it to turn out to be some crap online game but this is really nothing to speculate over lol

Also, why are people acting like Bloodborne is a game trapped on a single system!? The game works perfectly fine and is accessible to anybody who can afford a ps4 or ps5. I'm sure there'll be a pc port in the future but it doesn't have to be now.

My guess is that PC versions of these games will show up. Horizon only had Zero Down and not Forbidden West yet. I know that it is rumored that Sony and Microsoft are leaning towards PC for "next gen", but playing exclusive franchises just feels better on a console rather than a PC.
