SEGA is prepping for the imminent release of Sonic Frontiers, the latest 3D Sonic game that takes the hedgehog to an "open zone" environment for the first time. How does he end up in this bizarre new landscape? Well, it seems the publisher will enlighten fans with a couple of prequel stories.
It's announced both a two-part comic book series as well as an animation, both of which will act as a prologue to the game itself. The comic, titled Sonic Frontiers Prologue: Convergence, "dives into the events taking place for Sonic, Tails, Amy and Dr. Eggman right before they begin their journey to the Starfall Islands in search of the Chaos Emeralds". Part one of the comic launches next week on 18th October.
