In the months leading up to today's Silent Hill livestream, it was reported Konami was allowing other developers come up with their own takes on its survival horror series. Silent Hill: Townfall is one of them, a new title from Stories Untold and Observation team No Code. Annapurna Interactive will publish the game along with Konami.

This game is years away from us. I doubt it's going to be good. But I hope to be wrong.
Can't wait for this. Stories Untold's first chapter is one of the most chilling gaming moments in memory. Observation was fantastic from start to finish, the future of Silent Hill is in very good hands.
Not sure what to take from the trailer. I mean I’m glad to see SH back, but it didn’t really give me much to go on. Will have to wait till more information comes out on this to have a better judgment on it.
Yeah, it's to early to tell. I'm afraid SH is to big for this studio. But we will see...
I don't know anything about this developer's previous games but they have pretty good reviews, so... why not
@Voltan Stories Untold and Observation are both PS4 available. The team was created from the team that made Alien Isolation.
They definitely have horror talent as their backbone.

Yep, I cannot continue afford to keep upgrading the PC. As per my other post in the SH2 thread a PS5 is on the cards.

Observation was an amazing sci-fi/horror title. No Code definitely know their stuff in the genre and Annapurna always promotes positive expectations too. Can't wait to see more!
Generally good announcements, especially SH f looks super creepy and I was also a big fan of the original SH movie, so to hear that the same director is back... awesome.
Townfall could also be great, since untold stories was very atmospheric and unfortunately overlooked.
Observation was a great little game, I'm expecting this to be more of a puzzle like game.
I like the fact they have multiple projects going, they can at least pick the best people to go with after this.

The House Abandon is masterful indeed. It’s ten minutes of text on a screen that is incredibly immersive. The player is drawn into the setting, staring at the screen through a screen, which makes the ending all the more effective.
Hopefully this game will do something a little different with the series, as Climax and Sam Barlow did with Shattered Memories. The first person framing sequences and lack of combat added so much to the experience and proved that Silent Hill works best when it focuses on the psychological elements and less on action.
Overall, the “Transmission” was good, but it felt as if a proper Silent Hills/5 was missing. Ascension sounds like it could be an interesting experiment, but details on Townfall and f were so scant that it’s impossible to guess the scope of those projects. I’m hoping Townfall will be a larger game in scale - it would be a shame if it’s a shorter experience and f is only a visual novel.
Silent Hill 2 Remake is the main draw here for the moment and perhaps that’s the game that is going to be detailed the most in the coming months.
Lastly, how many RED PYRAMID THING figures are needed?
