Following a very brief teaser at Evo 2022, Tekken 8 has been officially revealed through Sony's Latest State of Play broadcast. The reveal trailer has Jin and Kazuya — no doubt the focus of the game's story — squaring off against each other in a storm-rocked arena.
Graphically, this Unreal Engine 5 project looks like a huge improvement over Tekken 7, although that shouldn't come as much of a shock. It's easy to forget that Tekken 7 launched in arcades around seven years ago!
In any case, Bandai Namco wants us to "stay tuned" for more information. With Tokyo Game Show just around the corner, we could be seeing more of Tekken 8 very soon.

Looking really good. Street Fighter 6 and now Tekken 8, good news for fighting game fans.
Probably the only thing that was worth seeing in the State of Play imo was TEKKEN 8.
Looks awesome, can't wait to see where the story goes!
@Royalblues Nah, they will. They even have rollback planned for dragonball fighterZ.
Hot, that's all I can say.
Please don’t let this be like Tekken 7 where there is barely any content with an absurd amount of season passes.
God damn, even their muscles have muscles😅😅great trailer!
@Royalblues Tekken 7 has already rollback, why shouldn't Tekken 8 get it as well?
this was the only interesting thing about the showcase
Looks good just hope they aren't greedy again with season passes
I loved playing with Yoshimitsu, it's the only character where I learned to do the most complex combos available.
Roger was fun too
Now that's what I call a trailer! Tekken back to form.
First proper look at Tekken 8! I'm so happy!!😊
@anoyonmus Nah, there was some other good things besides Tekken 8 in the State of Play
I wish these modern fighting games would at least bring back the single player modes that have become absent in recent entries. I don't understand why they removed classic staples like Team Battle, Survival and Time Attack modes from the latest games. I'd even settle for a new Tekken Force mode instead of the lousy Story mode from the last game. The Story mode ends all too quickly and has zero replay value.
I also miss having to actually earn new characters by unlocking them from completing the Arcade mode, but I understand why that's no longer possible due to the heavy online focus these days and requirement for immediate access.
Very flashy trailer, and I don't even play Tekken.
