Update: We have more details on Gargoyles Remastered now, although admittedly there’s still not much to go on. Empty Clip Studios, the team behind projects like NHL 94 Rewind, has got the nod to make this, with "updated visuals and controls". Unfortunately, that’s the bulk of the information for now.
Original Story: Buena Vista’s iconic 16-bit SEGA Genesis adaptation of Disney’s animated Gargoyles series is getting an unexpected remaster, as the juggernaut seeks to bring more of its classic games to modern consoles. While few details were shared, the re-release looks to follow in the footsteps of other compilations, like the Disney Classic Games Collection.
A side-scrolling platformer first released in 1995, Gargoyles was praised for its sharp gothic art style and jaw-dropping animation. Very few details were announced during the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase earlier today, but we’ll update with more information as and when it becomes available.

Didn't realize Europe and other regions never experienced this game. This was a difficult, but very good-looking game.

@Smiffy01 this game was fantastic, probably within my top five Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games of all time. I highly recommend it.

Is there a resurgence of the cartoon planned as well?
I remember the game was fun - but today's audience has little reference point. So without anchoring it in some kind of reference in current culture, it's as curious a game decision as that Gollum one.
@MFTWrecks I'd also prefer this route, but sadly they are too cheap to do it.
@huyi Last I checked Star Wars is doing well? Disney+/TV Show and video game wise at least.
I could care less about any future movies, I'm satisfied.
