Remastered PS2 strategy title GrimGrimoire OnceMore is being brought West in spring 2023, NIS America has confirmed. It's coming to both PS5 and PS4, with "a brand new skill tree, improved user interface, art gallery, and so much more". Not just a simple resolution boost, then.
In case you couldn't tell, GrimGrimoire is from Vanillaware, the immensely talented developer behind 13 Sentinels and Dragon's Crown. The original release dropped in the same year as fellow Vanillaware PS2 title Odin Sphere, with both games rocking that gorgeous hand drawn art style that the studio has become known for.

Was waiting for this news. Loved this game on PS2. In fact, I've yet to play anything by Vanillaware that I didn't love.

Wow, that's funny. About a year ago, I finally picked up the PS2 game.
Guess I should have waited...manual was also B&W, which was disappointing.
I was hoping manual was color because of all the interesting characters designs.

Very cool. Never played the original, but I loved Odin Sphere, liked Dragon's Crown and Muramasa, and plan on starting 13 Sentinels before long. So I'm definitely game for this.

Just like Odin Sphere and 13 Sentinels I will be picking up the gorgeous special Edition.
this is great news! BUT, i would have expected muramasa to get the remaster treatment before grimgrimoire since it is by FAR the more popular game in comparison. there is also grand knights history which gets overlooked and is deserving of a remaster.
