Unless you're hopping into a free-to-play game, playing online multiplayer titles on PlayStation with your buddies comes at a price. The functionality is one benefit of subscribing to PS Plus, with all three tiers giving you access. Fortunately, every now and then Sony holds a free weekend, letting everyone enjoy their games online, whether they're a member or not.
The time has come once again — this weekend, the 27th-28th August, online multiplayer on PS5 and PS4 will be completely free. Again, you'll be able to engage with online features regardless of whether you hold a PS Plus subscription:

The way they advertise these always makes me think that they're doing free play weekends for the games in the image, they should probably market these better tbh
For everyone who already has an active subscription, they should extend our subscriptions by 2 days so we can benefit too.

The FREE MULTIPLAYER WEEKEND isnt clear enough? Damn some people complain about everything.
The way it should have remained instead of sony pretending to be poor and charge for online play.
