Ghost Song is an atmospheric 2D action game inspired by classic Metroidvania titles, and its coming to PS5 and PS4 on 3rd November.

In Ghost Song, you play as a long-dormant Deadsuit, newly awakened and combat-ready. Explore the beautifully illustrated vaults and forgotten ruins of Lorian, a desolate moon. Acquire powerful new weapons, and adapt to the situation at hand or the foe in front of you. New gear will open up new pathways, and allow access to optional hidden areas, but remember that danger hides around every corner.

Backed this on Kickstarter almost 10 years ago. It's pretty much a one man show behind this. The art is amazing reminding a little of 80s sci-fi anime. Can't wait for this game to finally come to fruition.

I'll try it out on game pass ,it looks like a game I'd play but might get bored of quickly

It took more than one „inspiration“ from Metroid, even the broken pipe from Meridia. And speedwise it looks like Meridia without Gravity Suit. No, thank you.

Played the demo earlier this year and it’s definitely the most ”Metroid” kind of metroidvania I’ve seen since the real thing, least in terms of visuals.

I also backed this game eons ago, so I’m getting a copy in any case.

I'm pretty excited for this. Loved Super Metroid and this looks like a very rough but true love letter to that game.

And PC , if your going to report the systems a game is releasing on make sure u list them all. The game is also coming to Steam for PC on Nov 3, 2022

This looks great, art reminds me a bit of Capsized.

Also, props to the mysterious Khayl Adam, who keeps highlighting interesting indie content on this site.

I cannot believe we finally have a release date on this!
I’ve watched and checked on and scoped out and forgotten and remembered this game so much and so many times… I cannot wait to play this! I feel like the creator is a totally different person now haha it’s been YEARS in the making, wow.
Well color me excited! November 3rd is going to see the first day one purchase of a game in a long time for me.
ANOTHER NOTE: this game seems like one of those rare Axiom Verge moments where it’s the standout penultimate title of the genre. I wonder if this will make the jump to Switch eventually…

I'm pretty sure this was mostly made by one dude. Very impressive. I love these types of passion projects. Still kills me that we never got Fez 2, or anything else from Phil Fish.
