PS Plus has changed in the last few weeks, and now offers something a little different over all three tiers. However, one constant across Essential, Extra, and Premium is access to the monthly games selection. We're here at the start of July, and that means the latest PS Plus Essential lineup is now ready to roll.
Yes, the new trio of games is available to claim and download right now on PS5 and PS4. To recap, this month we're getting Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time (PS5, PS4), Arcadegeddon (PS5, PS4) and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4). It's a pretty eclectic mix; a bright and bouncy platformer, a zippy online shooter, and a spooky, narrative-driven horror. According to our PS Plus poll, you lot are pretty happy with this selection, with a 30 per cent majority saying they're "mostly happy".
You'll get all three of these games regardless of which PS Plus tier you're subscribed to, but it's worth mentioning that those on Extra and Premium have access to a lot more. If you want to see all PS Plus games across each tier, follow the link to our comprehensive guide.

Will be adding them to my library later, but will only play Crash 4. Been looking forward to that

Is it me but since Ps Plus tiers launched the store is terrible to navigate. Hard to get to the ps plus games and search doesn't work properly a lot of the time
@bindiana Yeah. Arcadedeggon isn't showing up at all. Usually I wait a few days or even a week til it gets sorted out because glitchiness is the norm.
Already own two and the third I have no interest in.
Xbox is even worse this month as well.
@bindiana the search function is now horrible! I was searching for indie beat em ups yesterday and it always showed different games with names that have no connection whatsoever. Also, the PS PLUS section is pretty terrible! In fact, I found that if you search a section with all the PS4 games it doesn't show them all, just a portion lol
Anyway, disappointed they are only giving the Essential games, hope they have some more classics soon.
What will the games be for the mid month release for being with Extra and Premium?
@bindiana If you click on the yellow PS Plus logo (and not the PS store bag) from the Home menu you can immediately view all your PS Plus games, right?
Just finished Until Dawn a little while ago so will play Man of Medan
@AFCC @bindiana the search has always been awful. I don't understand why I need to scroll through pages of unrelated games and DLC to find the game that I searched the exact the name of.

@AFCC Sony have already said they will announce additions to the Extra and Premium libraries separately from the Essentials. Two weeks apart IIRC.

@bindiana On the site, the equivalent would be to click on "Services" in the header, then on the PS Plus icon.
The iOS/Android apps (and the store on PS5) offer a far better experience over the web application though. Why not use those?
Had a go at the demo for Man of Medan, bunch of posers messing around on a boat. Found it quite dull.
Might well give Crash a spin though!

For anyone having troubles tet searching dark Pictures Anthology not just Man of Medan. There is probably also a trial version which was meant for the friends pass they did before.
Is this up in the US or just the EU? Seems kind of early for the US. Tailby did put "Essential" in the title so I'll give him that

Edit: Yeah still showing June games for me at 11:45AM, I'm in New York, turned on the PS5 for nuthin'
On a side note, Observer: system redux was added to the extra subscription library today. It was previously only for premium in the UK (contrary to other regions).
How does it work if I have man of Medan downloaded from the higher tier.
Do I have to delete and re add the game as an essential ps+ monthly game to stop it disappearing when the higher tier get rotated?

We literally posted the same thing at the same time, so I deleted my comment for obvious reasons.
As you understand I have the same query as I need to be sure that the game will remain in our libraries even after it's departure from the extra tier. Here's hoping that someone might know something more!
Sony is still keeping up with the terrible handling of things.

@bindiana just pick one word from the game title, the most unique word, so 'medan', this is how I search for games
@GoodGame a blast from the past ...it's the first time I won't add a game. ..since I finished man of Medan two months ago .
@Illyrian I tried with the mid tear of the subscription and it was ok, but since it was a small amount to add for the rest of my subscription for the top tier I got that one as well, even though I was preaching "don't do it"....all in all...I don't think is worth it (the top tier) and I am sure as hell I will not buy it next year.

I m not interested in higher tiers but I don’t understand the confusion. When you add a game to your library then it should be yours forever, wouldn’t it?
It doesn’t matter what is downloaded.
In case there maybe a glitch I’d rather delete everything (from rental) and just download the one from the library (you now own) 🤷🏼♂️
