Well, here's an announcement that we didn't expect: Capcom is releasing a remastered collection of every mainline Mega Man Battle Network title for PS4 in 2023. The suitably named Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection will include all six instalments, from the first Battle Network to Battle Network 6. Technically, this collection will feature ten titles, because from Battle Network 3 onwards, the games were split into two versions per release.

For those who might not know, the Battle Network games are RPGs with tactical turn based combat. All six of the mainline titles originally released on the Game Boy Advance between 2001 and 2006.

The official product description reads: "Featuring a music player with over 180 songs, a gallery with over 1,000 images, and an optional high-resolution filter, get ready to dive in to the Cyberworld with Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection!"

However, the above trailer points out that the collection will be split into two parts digitally — named Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Vol. 1 will include Battle Network 1, 2, and 3, while Vol. 2 will feature Battle Network 4, 5, and 6. The physical release will include all of them.
