We knew it was coming, and the moment has now arrived. Starting today, 21 June, Fall Guys is free for all players on PS5 and PS4. The manic battle royale remains immensely popular, and it's only likely to become more so now that another barrier to entry has been removed.
Today also marks the start of Fall Guys' first live season named, fittingly enough, Free For All. It will introduce a new season pass and currency with which to purchase in-game cosmetic items, and, more specific to our purview, a dedicated PS5 version of the game, which will enable faster loading times and performance upgrades.

What am I going to do with my 120 crowns?
@Boxmonkey they will be converted into Kudos when you launch the game for the first time. I had 2 crowns and they were converted into 6,000 Kudos.
But… the new (main) currency now appears to be Show Bucks. You can still buy items from the item shop with Kudos but some items can only be bought with Show Bucks.
I think they have scrapped Crowns for this new F2P season.
Edit: you can still earn Crown Shards for completing Marathon challenges (there are now Daily, Weekly and Marathon challenges) and you get full Crowns for winning shows. But these only count towards your Crown Rank, which unlocks special bonus costumes and other items (in addition to the regular season pass prizes). It doesn’t seem like you can spend Crowns on the item shop like you could in previous seasons.
Squads is broken. If one person in the team drops out, the whole team lose their rewards. It’s happened 3 times now. Very annoying.
I know it’s only day one but this needs fixing asap.
seems like you still need PSPlus for this, didn't expect that, thought it would be like Rocket League ...
@elhozzo yep Ps plus membership is needed. Also for me no chance to try it out currently.

The blog said no ps plus would be needed but this morning it was asking me to buy it. Apparently this is a bug. i did manage to get online but it couldnt match make me, now i just keep getting error failed to login messages.
I dont think the launch has gone too smoothly.
So what was the point in sticking this on ps+ when it did and wasting a slot 😏 this will be yet another game full of monetization
Loved it when it first launched but haven't played in a while. Will probably log in over the weekend once everything's settled down with the servers.
@Oh_fiddlesticks On their support page it says some players are reporting Playstation is asking for PS+ when loading Fall Guys but it should not be required - an update should be on its way to you soon.
