LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally launched back in April, much to the delight of franchise fans. While the game seems to be pretty bug-free — at least in our experience — developer TT Games is of course releasing patches to tidy things up. Interestingly, though, the latest update to the 3D platformer not only fixes problems, it introduces brand new content.
Late last week, the studio released a new patch for the game that makes "fixes to stability, quality, progression and performance issues throughout the title", but it also throws in four new Capital Ships to discover out in space. These new encounters additionally bring 34 extra Kyber Bricks to collect.
The Skywalker Saga is hardly a game lacking in content, but TT Games has gone the extra mile and made it an even bigger adventure anyway. If you enjoy the collectathon aspect of the LEGO games, this will be welcome news. Here are the full patch notes:
Numerous fixes to stability, quality, progression and performance issues throughout the title, including fixes for:
- Issue in Episode 7 where in certain situations Maz would not be present on Takodana to continue Story mission ‘Friends of the Resistance’.
- Issue in Episode 3 where in certain situations the level trigger for ‘The High Ground’ could fail to appear.
- Issue in ‘Green Harvest’ freeplay mission where under certain criteria the camera would be stuck on Tatooine indefinitely.
Implemented 4 new Capital Ship encounters in Local Space adding 34 additional Kyber Bricks to collect:
- Fulminatrix
- Home One
- Invisible Hand
- Venator

Ha! For the first time ever finishing a game in the first couple of weeks has paid off.
Any extra trophies?
@Resi32 No, there aren't any additional trophies.
It's likely the new content's kyber bricks will count towards pre-existing trophies for those who've yet to platinum the game, though, as my save file's overall completion went from 100% to 98% after the patch. Which gives you an idea of how significant four Capital Ships are in the grand scheme of things, but still, they're cool.
@RogerRoger I've already platinumed it, took me well over 150hrs
@Resi32 Congratulations! Took me seventy-seven hours, but I was ruthlessly methodical, to the point where I wish I'd slowed my pace a little and mucked about a bit more.
Has anyone compared the PS5 performance post-patch? Has it improved?
@RogerRoger Lemme guess, you ignore all collectibles the first time thru each level and just rush to the end?
Then replay them all after you've unlocked all the necessary characters?
@KidBoruto Pretty much, yeah. I did grab some obvious planetside kyber bricks between story levels, but nothing major. A lifetime of playing LEGO games has taught me that, if you don't have all the necessary characters, there's no point in even trying to 100% an area until you've seen the credits roll. You don't even get your first Scavenger until Return of the Jedi, for example!
@RevengeFan I can't speak for the entire game, it's too vast, but I did encounter an annoying audio bug whilst aboard Home One, one which I'd also experienced during my first playthrough. Other than that, however, I had no complaints.
@RogerRoger It's a smart strategy for sure! Sadly I am too obsessive about destroying everything I possibly can in new levels, which adds on unnecessary time since I do it again in free play.
@KidBoruto Yep, that's how I got started. I think it was earning the platinum on LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars that made me aware of unnecessary duplication. Took me far longer than it needed to (although no regrets; I still think that's the best LEGO game ever made, and have played it through multiple times since).
@RogerRoger I've only played thru that game once, never beat the story. Shame they will prob never port it over to PS4/PS5.
@KidBoruto Stranger things have happened (he says, knowing full well that you're right, and that there's very little hope, if any).
@RogerRoger Speaking of Stranger Things, Season 4 Vol 1 premieres this Friday! Do you watch the series?
@KidBoruto I've seen and enjoyed the previous seasons, yeah, but I'm not gonna drop everything and rush to Season Four. The show's in that kinda "watchable, but I don't wanna buy a t-shirt" space for me. I take it you're a big fan, though?
@RogerRoger Oh definitely a big fan, I own the 1st 2 Seasons on 4K UHD and I've been collecting all of the tie-in comics!
To each their own though, plus this convo is getting off-topic lol.
@KidBoruto Well, I hope the new season doesn't disappoint you!
