Sony’s big money marketing deal with GTA 5 has prompted several PlayStation 5 specific trailers to be published, each delving into some of the new-gen improvements of Rockstar’s long-running open world game. The first of the series spotlights near-instant loading, and showcases a vehicle from Hao’s Special Works, which is a new mod shop exclusive to the new-gen versions of the game:
The second commercial focuses on the visuals, and it promises “crisp 4K resolution” while showing a trio of muscle cars driving through Los Santos at night:
And the third clip talks about 3D audio, as it depicts a car driving through a tunnel and highlights the sounds of traffic passing by:
We assume there’ll be more of these, highlighting the excellent DualSense controller support, for example. It’s interesting to see Sony marketing a game from 2013 so hard, but we suppose that’s what happens when you sell 160 million copies. It’s worth remembering that GTA Online is currently free to download on PS5, and PS Plus subscribers have been able to redeem GTA$1,000,000 every month for the past couple of years.

It really does have excellent Dualsense support. Both the haptics and trigger effects are very detailed and give a real sense of feedback, especially when driving.
Although I usually end up turning the adaptive triggers off after about 30 mins of gameplay (as usual). My RSI seriously flares up when using em. In fact, the entire ergonomics of the Dualsense is pretty sh*te for RSI. Just something about the tapering of the grips. Awesome use of tech regardless.
Also the PS5's superfast loading is always a massive win for the platform. Can never stress enough just how much difference it makes to games like these.
@PenguinL Yeah I get what you're saying 😂 a few of my friends controllers have ended up with flappy triggers from use so I'm always a little cautious. I'm also totally with ya on Spider Man - that game felt great with the triggers!
Can someone explain how do I buy the PS5 version? Its not in my ps store.....
@IronMike click on the free version multiplayer… then click on the button that shows different versions and select the ps5 solo campaign and should the show it. That’s how it worked for me
Everywhere I read it says the UK PS5 version (story mode) is £8.75, but I was charged £9 🤔 yes I know it’s only 25p but was just curious
@Nightcrawler71 it's definitely £8.75
@Stocksy nope not working. If I click on the online multiplayer, theres no option to choose version. Only says I need gta v story mode.. pathetic!
@MatthewJP I was definitely charged£9 - I just checked my PayPal receipt. Strange 🤔
