FAR: Lone Sails quietly released a few years ago, delivering a solitary, thoughtful experience that had you maintaining a large land vehicle as it crossed the landscape. For the sequel, FAR: Changing Tides, developer Okomotive is taking that concept and taking it out to sea.

The game has just been confirmed for both PlayStation 5 and PS4, and if it's anything like its predecessor, it should be a lovely little adventure. As before, you'll be crossing a post-apocalyptic world in a large ship, but this time, you'll be heading out into open waters. The vehicle can act as both a boat and a submarine, allowing you to explore your surroundings above and below the ocean.

The game will tell its story via environmental detail you'll need to seek out for yourself; submerged cities, for example, will hold lots of secrets and information about the lost civilisation. It sounds like a fairly straightforward sequel, but we rather enjoyed the unique challenge of keeping that big ship moving, and this seems like a natural evolution.

FAR: Changing Tides hits PS5 and PS4 on 1st March 2022. Will you be setting sail for this one? Tell us in the comments section below.
