Flippin' heck, it's been a while since the last update on The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. The project is an improved and updated version of the cult hit PC game, filled with brand new narrative threads and endings to discover. It'll also be the first time it's playable on a PlayStation, which is exciting in itself. However, the game has been delayed again and again, and now, with the first news in over a year, it's being pushed back one more time.

As per the above video, Ultra Deluxe is now scheduled to launch in "Early 2022". The difference this time, and why we have a little more faith in this release window, is that the title is reportedly "content complete". In other words, developer Crows Crows Crows is busy smoothing out the experience in preparation for release.

We sincerely hope it makes it this time. The game was initially announced during The Game Awards 2018, where a 2019 release date was offered. It was then delayed to "sometime in 2020", and then once more to "early 2021". Obviously, none of those dates were met, and so here we are. We've already waited this long, so what's a couple more months, right?

The good news is that it should be worth the wait. Writer Davey Wreden has said that the script for Ultra Deluxe's extra content is "longer than the script for the original game", so it sounds like there will be a lot of new stuff to see and do.
