Rocket League, once a scrappy online multiplayer game designed as a successor to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle Cars, quickly evolved into a gaming phenomenon – and that’s why you now see brand crossovers, like this BMW one. Starting from 4th November, the BMW M240i will be available for a “limited time” within the title’s in-game store.
“The BMW M240i comes with BMW M240i Wheels, the signature Thundernight Metallic Decal, United in Rivalry Animated Decal that changes colour when going supersonic, Bavarian Hat Topper, and the BMW Player Banner,” the blurb from Psyonix reads. “Plus, the BMW M240i is customisable with other Rocket League items.”
Let’s be honest, it looks amazing in the game, doesn’t it?

I have been playing the game since day one and while I had few years break in between, but ever since I stopped playing FIFA 21 in march, I pretty much sink around 15-20 hours a week. I love rocket league, altho community is too toxic so disabling chatrooms is a must.
@Bamila More recent player here (plat 3 div 4 says hi...and also that I suck). I'm in the same situation playing a lot every week but took a break recently. Started up splitgate (free if you want to check it out), extremely fun game, basically a modified halo (portals) for playstation. Plat 3, was one game away of diamond but fell to plat 2 again.
Edit: Yeah, most of the community is toxic, met some awesome people tho. These good people are sadly few and far between.
With that said, What a save What a save What a save chat disabled for 4 seconds.
@lolwhatno @Bamila yeah, Rocket League is a great game and one of my most played. It’s 5 minute matches are especially helpful as a parent when you are waiting for something in the oven or have 10 minutes of down time just to get a couple of games in.
Personally I don’t mind the toxics. I’m only gold rank, but if I miss a save and my opponents (or even my team mate) spams “What a Save!” at me. I just spam back, “Thanks!” And it really doesn’t affect my mood/play. We all make mistakes and I just say “Close one!” when they miss their save.
I also apologise for every mistake and praise every goal and legitimate save, even the opponents. And physically type “There’s no need for that” when people are getting abusive. And to be honest I find most calm down and some apologise.
I’m basically being a Dad to Rocket League now that I think about it.
@Kienda Yep, doing the same as you. My opponents mostly don't care some type thanks after I compliment them. BUT when someone is being really toxic I just type "Oh no,player name has the human decency of a frying pan" 80% of the time shuts them up (don't ask me why, stupid insult). Also the 5 minutes match are a lie: goal+replay make it a ~8mins game (except if you're a beast that makes people ff).
P.s: Did you try splitgate (asking cuz it's another competitive easy to play/hard to master, free to play game....Oh and it's also hecka lot of fun)
@BoldAndBrash Yo a champion! I feel like reaching champion (ceiling flip reset triple tap goal What a save What a save What a save chat disabled for 4 seconds....ahem) requires too much dedication. I can't imagine training to play a game, I train during the game lol (and while waiting for the game to start). That got me to plat 3.
Nice car and a good bit of dlc that I hope will be the start of some more interesting colabs.
