Hot Wheels Unleashed Adds DC Super-Villains Season, Batman Expansion

I’ll be patiently waiting for the ‘66 Batman Batmobile to come out..

Already 3 DLC passes anounced and now on top of that premium content through battlepasses. I'll pass on this game.

I really enjoyed this game right up until I finished all the single player content. I was going to attempt to platinum it, but those coin and gear trophies would require an absolutely ridiculous amount of time in multiplayer to obtain, so I dropped off.

I bought the Challenge Accepted Edition, so hopefully this content will bring me back. Looks really fun from what they’ve shown.

@SoulChimera damn, that sucks to hear about the post game grind. Any sneaky ways to boost that currency?

@Jeevz I read a few posts in forums about building a track that takes 2 seconds to win, but for that, you would still need hours upon hours and also someone else to sit there and do it with you online.

I’m sure it’s much faster, but it would still take a long time. Much longer than most people would be willing to sit through.

@SoulChimera yeah been there, done that. I'm not a big fan of boosting anymore myself. Sounds similar to THPS 1+2. In my heyday I would have grinded out that last trophy but not so much today.

This game does look cool though. I kind of want to play it.

Why do they put batte passes in everything now 🙈

@Jeevz Yeah, it’s great fun. If you like arcade racers, you’ll really enjoy this.

To be fair, I’m not an online multiplayer person, if I was, I’d probably just play it every now and again and naturally obtain the platinum.

Maybe the new content they have planned will be enough to entice me to play online.

If they keep this kind of cool content I will probably buy the pass! The game is great and hopefuly they will fix the coins soon!

They cost too much, I am happy with the free blind boxes I get!

@SoulChimera I got the game at a pretty good price on Amazon. Wanna boost the coins and gears sometime? Maybe they'll be more available in the battle pass?

@Jeevz Could do, although we will need to find 40 hours worth of podcasts to listen to while we press accelerate for 2 seconds, then wait 30 seconds to select the track again and then another 30 seconds to start a new race. Hahaha.

I’m hoping they either alter the amount you win per race (At the moment I think it’s 70 and one of the trophies is for 100,000) or, someone finds a quicker way to scan the system.

Or yes, they add some more ways to win with all this DLC.

@SoulChimera The boost method I saw had 2 players earning 5000-6000 coins an hour. I know that's probably best case scenario but what about all the coins you earn in Single Player? They have to add coins and gears to the battle pass.

@Jeevz According to my PS5, I’ve played for 19 hours so far (although a few of those would be messing around in livery and track editors) and I’m yet to achieve the 10,000 coin trophy. Haha.

The other two coin trophies are for 50,000 and 100,000.

Unless they change the amount you win per race, I think this is a platinum I might just forget about. Haha.

@SoulChimera Hey man, the DC Super Villains Racing Season has begun for Hot Wheels Unleashed and there's A LOT of coins and gears to be had in the battle pass. I don't think you have to buy anything to get the coins and gears but all the premium DC content can only be gotten if you buy the racing season DLC for $7.99

@SoulChimera I believe the racing pass DLC is independent of all the other DLC for the game. Go figure
