Here's Your First Look at Horizon Forbidden West's Aloy in Genshin Impact

I want it, I am stuck on PC so guess I am waiting for a bit.

Did PC because I thought I could cross save with Switch (never came out) or Android (still has no controller support) when away from home. So that was a bust.

Update: Scratch that. I guess I can move over. Set everything up so I am ready on day 1.... crap, could have been on PS5 all this time 🤦‍♂️

@The_Pixel_King I got to AR 20 (needed to get Aloy's bow) in like 4 evenings of play, so you will have loads of time to get there.

Bad news to anybody thinking to start the game for Aloy. You need an item from the new area, Inazuma, to ascend her (level past 20), which requires you to play through and beat the storylines of the first two areas.

I think they changed her moveset from what was originally leaked. I think originally she buffed the attack of the party which made her sound like a good support, but now looks like she only buffs her own attack. She doesn't sound as good now, not sure she'll be able to fit in my current party if that's the case.

I was skeptical of the appeal of genshin impact but it won me over to its charms and I've played it most days for the past month. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun timesink with cute characters and a reasonably compelling plot (it's very anime rpg-ish, but it's decent)

Yeah she still looks better than her original self imo.

@Milktastrophe Good point - bare minimum, you may need to play for a week to get to a level high enough to get Aloy in the first place. And then you'll need to play more than that to get access to the drops to level her up to your current max (varies by level).

So don't wait for September - if you're interested and haven't started, jump in now.

My kid and I are gathering materials this week (and last week, too) so we can level her up quickly. Probably still won't be able to level her high enough to survive for long right away, but ought to be able to get a good feel for her and her new bow. Leveling new characters kind of IS the game at some point, at least once you clear all the story quests (of which there are plenty to keep you busy if you're just diving in).

Aloy is weird here, the head is too big compared to other characters.

Didn't realise she was cryo. I doubt she'll be able to compete with Ganyu but she might be a good alt for anyone that doesn't already have the Cocogoat.

Ice and bow. Sorry but Donna is way more useful as a cryo user. All bow characters kinda suck. How about a polearm user, there’s like 2 that I know about and I’m lvl 90.

@Flaming_Kaiser Sure but her face is such a mixed bag in the games. At one angle she looks really nice but then in other angles she just looks really off.

Might try it again. Downloaded it at the start but had to remove it as it sent the Pro's fans into overdrive, despite the fact that visually it's barely disturbing the hardware. Wonder if they've fixed that?

Genshin is such a blast to play and it's even better on the PS5. I love this free 5 star character. I'm wondering if it was all planned to coincide with the release of the Horizon sequel which would have been about now if it wasn't pushed back.

She looks as if she was designed by all the trolls that didn’t like her look in the latest Horozon 2 trailer… that’s a bit of a disappointment.

@Bunchesopuppies you're not level 90 one of your characters is, and diona is a not a good bow user for damage she is only a good support, there are many fantastic bow users especially damage wise, ganyu is a cryo bow and is the highest dps user in the game and yoimiya is a strong fire dps bow user.
