Will Digimon Survive ever see the light of day? The turn based, story-heavy RPG has been in development for years now on PlayStation 4, and has always looked very promising whenever it's been shown. But having originally been scheduled for a 2019 release here in the West, it's clear that this has become something of a problem project.
Yep, Digimon Survive has been delayed again, this time into 2022. That's according to the latest financial report from Toei Animation (as spotted by Gematsu).
The title's previous delay was reported in October of last year, when the game's producer issued a statement on social media. Said statement promised "exciting updates" in "spring 2021", but here we are in middle of summer, and news on Digimon Survive has been non-existent for roughly nine months. Even more damning is the fact that the official Digimon video games social media accounts have been silent ever since.
Hopefully, Digimon Survive will remind us that it exists sooner rather than later. In the meantime, let us know if you're still looking forward to this creature-taming RPG in the comments section below.

I’ve heard good things but not sure if we’ll see it

So it hasn't been cancelled? That's a shocker, considering Bandai's complete silence.
Apart from Hogwarts Legacy and Mass Effect (5?), this is my most anticipated game!

Aww man. Was really looking forward to this. Im getting scared that it will be canceled. I wonder if they are starting over from scratch and trying to link it to the Digimon 2020 reboot anime. I REALLY hope not.
This is my most anticipated game, no contest. So it just frustrates me there's been zero communication until now. I can take delays but waiting for news past the spring was agonizing
There was hardly a trailer, was there? The 10 seconds they showed had some cheap flash animations, so I can't say it looked good to begin with. Hopefully it has considerably changed. Digimon games always looked worse than Pokemon games somehow, and that's not easy.
Before this article, I forgot this existed.
Anything tactics related I'm in....you know if Square would ever do another FFtactics I'd be in heaven.
I'm still hyped to get the game, shame it's been delayed yet again.
