It looks like the PlayStation 5 file size for Tales of Arise has been spotted, even though the game's not out for another three months or so. According to the reliable PlayStation Game Size on Twitter, the upcoming action RPG weighs in at a reasonable 37.2GB on Sony's current-gen system. This is without additional data, however, such as a day one patch.
So yeah, not bad. The fact that it's been pulled up so early does make us wonder, though. Maybe there's a demo coming soon? Bandai Namco does like its playable demo versions — Scarlet Nexus got one just the other week, for example, ahead of its launch at the end of this month.

Hey, that's just like ratchet & clank ps5, I like this new trend of small size next-gen version of games 😃
So, I missed this game entirely until now. Happens I guess. 🤷♂️
I think I've only ever played 1 Tales game before, on the Gamecube, and only played for like an hour as the first cave - not dungeon, just a cave - killed my entire team like 3 teams then I just traded it in.
This looks good though. I'm in the post game of Trials of Mana - stuck on ANgela's class item upgrade like seemingly everyone else who's ever played the game 😝 - and this seems like it has a lot of similarities. Running around in the world alone and having someone pop up for the fight does seem a bit odd, and loading into a battle arena rather than fighting in the world, well that's like - FF12 territory. But everything else looks good. And I'd play this on PS4, don't see how it would improve all that much on PS5, not looking and playing like this. So that's a plus.
Guess I better start paying attention to this one. So so many JRPG this year - Switch is submerged in them - getting hard for me to keep them all straight.
That's not a bad size at all. I was expecting it to be a good bit larger considering the visual style but I'm ok with this.
I wonder if the alleged space savings on PS5 SSD is real...
