It looks like Bandai Namco is going to be wheeling out character-specific trailers for Tales of Arise. The action RPG is out in just over a couple of months, and we know that the game's main party will comprise of six fighters.
As you'd expect, this first trailer focuses on Alphen, who's set up to be the title's central protagonist (although you can play as any of the six party members once they join). Alphen starts off with his face covered entirely by an iron mask, but it obviously cracks open at some point in the story. In combat, it looks like he's going to be a solid all-rounder, wielding a quick one-handed sword and a range of special attacks.
Think you'll be playing as Alphen? Don't drop a combo in the comments section below.
Forget that. Theres a fully working Master system in Lost Judgement. I hope Action Fighter is playable and 8bit Sonic.
@nessisonett This made me laugh more than it should of.lol
my most anticipated game.
hope more folks jump on board.
Characters with their face covered partway by an eyepatch or mask is starting to really become a trend in JRPGs as of late with both this and Xenoblade Chronicles 2
The hype is real. Can't wait.
Hopefully this runs great on PS5. Ratchet and Clank really blew me away - there can be all kind of crazy happening and it is rock solid.
Not felt this way on consoles in ages. It is finally PC like.
Looks pretty good.
@nessisonett I nearly made this same joke in the article, but thought it was too stupid. How wrong I was.
Man the combat seems fun and the story looks interesting, can't wait 😃
Hoping the combat is more Vesperia than Berseria.
@ApostateMage Yeah, the combat singlehandedly ruined Berseria for me. Vesperia feels clunky now but a slicker version of it would be great. That said, I prefer the Graces style of combat overall.
@nessisonett Gods. *****. Damnit!!!
Goes to get a cloth to wipe cola off the monitor!
Never played a Tales game before but it looks like I’m gonna have to get this one. Looks stunning!
