Even though it´s not quite what I expected, I´m still very curious on how the game will work.
Really good were getting a demo soon.
Still, it is A Final Fantasy action game made by Team Ninja, so.....

When rumors about this games aired some weeks ago I had a completely different looking game in mind. Those guys look even more like a Boyband than the FFXV cast

This was quite underwhelming. Was hoping for a better looking game with souls-like combat like Nioh, this is basically FF Companions where the dude shouts Chaos a lot.

I recall a leak saying that the game would be exclusive for Playstation but I guess not lol

Also, is it weird that I'm more excited for this than with Babylon Falls?

The main character looks really bland and out of place in final fantasy world, I wish the design is more like ff7 remake or ff16 characters 😕

Also the voice acting for babylon fall and ff origin is bad.

Yeah, was quite excited when it was announced a few weeks ago, but this looked ropey as *****. Maybe a decent 4k upload will work wonders...

So many Dirge of Cerberus vibes going on. Just... it’s ok for something to be medieval. That’s allowed. Your characters don’t need to suddenly wear T-shirts and be members of a somewhat homoerotic boy band.

Is this the other final fantasy playstion exclusive other than 16?

For some "warriors of light" they sure look edgy. I guess this was the souls-like game that's been rumored and turns out, not a PS exclusive. Kinda underwhelmed with the characters and gameplay tbh but will still keep an eye on this one.

I'm not sure about this one. To be honest, coming from Team Ninja doesn't give me much hope.

The idea sounds cool but the trailer was kinda meh.

I know it’s not a big deal to some, but another dull, grey (westernised) FF, that’s a total sausage fest, with nary a scantily clad chick in sight for a romantic interest or to kick arse with while ogling…it’s just all a bit depressing.

I remember Garland from the first Final Fantasy game. Calling this Final Fantasy Origin and having him in it makes me think this is a prequel, but the main cast has modern clothing while the characters in FF1 had medieval clothing, so I’m guessing this is in a separate universe like all other Final Fantasy games. Still super weird to just include him like this and call it Final Fantasy Origin. Maybe the game will give birth to a multiverse?

Love Nioh... I'll keep an eye out for anything Team Ninja.

Unfortunately underwhelmed. Elden Ring comes out early 2022. It’ll be hard for this game to compete for my time.

Why does it look like a PS3 launch game though? Was a truly awful launch trailer to boot

It looks awful but more importantly it looks boring. The main character looks like he's from another game, maybe it's a character model from a cancelled game but it doesn't look right.

The PS3 era called, it wants its chaos back!

@Lorcansface More referring to FFXV with that one to be honest. Which is the gayest game I’ve ever played and I own Stick Shift.

With Souls-like games it always comes down to how good the combat actually is, which is hard for me to tell even from gameplay videos. Team Ninja are solid devs, though, so it seems promising.

Its such a pity it looks fine but the characters are meh. I always loved the mixed groups with male and female om not a big fan of the macho man thing.

@RubyCarbuncle I think its not the PS4 thats holding it back its more the character design. I dont know why Square Enix is on this sausagefest your lately.

But man the game looks rough if you look at the past games the characters where diverse and fun. I think FF15 was a succes and now they think we only want guys. 🤪

This game looks real bad. The character designs are awful, the voice acting/writing is terrible. I mean, I assume it will play decently, as Nioh is a thoroughly solid Souls-like, but this is super underwhelming looking.

You won’t make believe that this is a final fantasy game when the protagonist has a military haircut.

This was the most interesting game from the presentation imo and it looks pretty underwhelming and weird for Final Fantasy, even if it's just a spin-off. Might buy this game when it goes on sale but defintely not at full price.

Kind of silly with all the emphasis on CHAOS. Sounded like a parody, but I like the gameplay, so there is that.

It felt like they dug up some paused in-development game from the PS3 era and gave it a remaster.

Looks like FF has finally become a full hack and slash then. Sad day indeed.

1. Doesn't look like souls. People really need to stop comparing every ARPG to souls. The gameplay looks like a decent ARPG, it doesn't need to be souls.
2. Oh look, they cranked the bro factor to 11 for this one. Greeeeeaaaat...
3. I'm already tired of the canned dialogue. "Crush you!" "Die already!" "Chaos!" We get it bro, you're here to kill chaos.

Overall: Yawn.
