Salt and Sanctuary developer Ska Studios is making a sequel to its hit 2D Souls-like, titled Salt and Sacrifice. Confirmed through a trailer at Summer Game Fest: Kickoff Live, it'll hit PlayStation 5 and PS4 at some point next year. Check out the reveal trailer above.
Salt and Sacrifice is the upcoming follow-up to the hardcore action RPG platformer, Salt and Sanctuary. Explore a new era and region, as well as a new role: a Marked Inquisitor. A Marked Inquisitor is a criminal condemned, yet spared the hand of justice in exchange for a lifetime of service in the unending war against Mages: twisted, irredeemable creatures of elemental malice.

Yes amazing news.salt and sanctuary is a wonderful game.especially playing as a mage.in the top 5 best indie games.still playing the first.so im happy the sequel is coming.now all i need is darkest dungeon 2.darkest dungeon.best indie game ever made.word up son

F*** yeah, I wasn't expecting that! Salt and Sanctuery was a wonderful gem of a game (and cross-play on Vita, to top it off), and one of the very rare Metroidvania-like games I have actually finished (even though it was hard as hell!).
I can't be happier tonight : with Salt and Sacrifice and Elden Ring, that's hundreds of hours of very enjoyable gaming in the near future for me!
Would love to see the Dishwasher series get a new entry or even PS ports but I'll take another Salt game for sure.
Pretty much the only game that I am psyched for at this point. Far Cry 6 looks fun. Battlefield 2042 seems like a mixed bag. Salt and Sacrifice though...yes, please!

As others have said,quite the surprise!👍Glad to see it's retained its art style (improved),rather than go the rendered 3D route! Must admit still having braved it solo!😱 Been reliant on a Souls hard core buddy of mine to coop part way through! Wonder if it'll be any easier to setup co-op spawn points or even (gasp),some map tracking!😁🤞
This looks great! Looks like some huge improvements to mobility (2D Sekiro with that grappling hook?!). The original game was excellent—maybe time to start another play through and actually finish the game this time!
