The PlayStation 5 version of Riders Republic will allow you to compete against more than 50 other players at once, while the PS4 release will restrict that number to around 20. It’s one of the advantages of buying the online extreme sports title on Sony’s next-gen console – although you will be eligible for a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade if you haven’t snagged the new system yet.
The game will run in 4K at 60 frames-per-second on PS5 as well, although that’s an upscaled image from around 1620p. You’ll be able to join dynamic races with other players while out in the world, buddy up, and hang out in social spaces. If you didn’t watch the latest trailer yet, you can check that out through here.

Looks like a lot of fun this one.
Looking good. Just pre-ordered
I thought it looked like it would be fun with my kids. I see myself buying it as long as it receives good reports from people. Online games tend to have a rough start.
I was never that good at playing with people online in racing games. Forza is one example, I often get left behind in that (lol) but this game does look like a lot of fun with its high speed action, something I would enjoy a lot more.
Finally a reason to own a ps5
Yes I'm being sarcastic
How does that work with crossplay then?
@roe assume it'll be limited to 20 players on PS5.
What I want to know is who thought 20 wasn't enough and needed to have 50 other players? You're only going to see about 5-6 players at any one time? It could ages for the last duffer to cross the line if there are 50 players, meaning a PS5 player will have to wait for the last player while a PS4 player will be ready for/in the next race?
