After making a big song and dance out of it earlier in the year, Marvel’s Avengers will soon allow everyone to play as the same superhero online if they so choose. This feature was temporarily enabled in the Tachyon Anomaly event, but developer Crystal Dynamics has confirmed it’ll be a permanent addition in a forthcoming update.
“Due to your feedback, we’re permanently turning on the ability to play multiple of the same Hero during matchmaking and when forming Strike Teams,” the firm said. “Tachyon energy in the world has reached a level where Hero selection is always similar to the Tachyon Anomaly Event. We’ll have more information about these features later in July.”
Next month will also see the release of new Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired outfits, along with the Omega Level Threat event, which is being billed as the “toughest content to date”. This will precede the War for Wakanda update which is due in August, and beyond that the developer has promised “another roadmap in the next month or two”, which could potentially include intel on Spider-Man.

Ok that's cool and all but Moonlit Wilderness is a song in Smash now and that's way more important than third-rate Ultimate Alliance with half as interesting level design
They really just need to let this game die already.

Four Hulks would be kinda cool. You could have a Mr. Fixit grey and a green Professor Hulk from Peter David's run, that weird Red Hulk that Jeph Loeb came up with, and maybe Buscema's classic dumb green hulk. It's like a Skittles bag of destruction.
Actually, four of most of the characters would be cool. Steve Rodgers, Bucky Cap, Falcon Cap, and John Walker would make for a lot of shield clanging.

Loved how the thumbnail had spiderman . we all know hes the top 1 , and if not top 1 , top best super hero of all time .
Going by the latest Cosmic Cube update they are clearly setting up Ultron for "Year 2" if it happens, in fact the seeds for Ultron have been there since Day 1.

I'm actually surprised they didn't allow this from the get-go. I understand they want to keep things "canon" by only allowing one hero per player and to keep this more varied.
I hope they rather revive Xmen game. Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 is still the best Marvel game for me. Wolverine forever!
This is a terrible idea. The only shred of interest I had in playing this game will disappear when this update comes out. Having multiples of a character would just kill the immersion of playing as the Avengers, which is all this mediocre game has going for it.
