It’s anything but cutesy: Super Animal Royale is a top-down PlayStation 5 and PS4 multiplayer shooter, inspired by Battle Royale titles like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone. “Collect, loot, and shoot your way to the top of the food chain,” the blurb pitches. The trailer’s got a bit of a Happy Tree Friends vibe to it, for all three of you who remember that show.
The game’s currently in Early Access on PC, so you can try it out for yourself right now if you want to. It’ll roll out as part of the Xbox Game Preview program next month, before finally getting its full, finished release on PlayStation later this year. There’s no word on crossplay that we’ve seen just yet, but we hope it’s in the pipeline, because it could be essential for the longevity of the game.

The industry is so lazy , smh . i wouldn't dare play this unoriginal cash-in , mobile crap on a console .
sick of BR.
@nomither6 To be fair, it's quite a bit different to any other Battle Royale I've seen.
@get2sammyb all BR's are pretty different , but the genre is still the same. BR is milked.
That is an amaaaazing trailer lol but i still dont think a top down br is for me but im glad it exists, too adorable!
If you can't get Nook his bell, you get some hell.
I’m willing to bet that the largest demographic for these battle royal games are teenage boys and, unfortunately, I don’t see them taking to the aesthetic. Not the idiots I know anyway, lol.
Reminds me of Cannon Fodder.
Looks cool! Too bad I can't force myself to play any game in BR genre.
By all 3 of us who remember the show, you mean all 3 of us who are OLD enough to have grown up with it and hacked the school projector so htf and other less acceptable things were playing to the whole class? Htf was the bollocks, this will be great.
Happy Tree Friends, haha yes !!
