Warning: This trailer contains some pretty significant spoilers for Final Fantasy VII Remake. It also shows new boss fights from Episode INTERmission, the expansion starring Yuffie.
The "final" trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is here, and it's packed with details. We won't go into the nitty gritty here in this article, but just know that Episode INTERmission looks really good — and perhaps a bit more involved than we first thought.
More specifically, the trailer confirms the existence of a new Fort Condor minigame. For those who don't know, Fort Condor was a location in the original Final Fantasy VII, where Cloud and the gang helped defend a rebel base against hordes of Shinra enemies. The scenario featured a real-time strategy minigame where you had to place units on a map. This looks like a remake of that minigame (although you're not actually at Fort Condor this time around).

FORT CONDOOOOOOOR!!!! I can still vividly remember the first time I played that section in my friends house, like, 19 years ago. I brought my PS1 over to his place one Friday. We played until god knows what time.
Gods I miss the 90s.
I'd be excited if you could just buy Episode Intermission on PS4...
Ok, but what will the DLC cost, Square Enix?
Oh man I so couldn’t be bothered with Fort Condor in the original 😂😂
@mariomaster96 I'm gonna go with $20.
Whats the release date, is it June?
I kinda wish I didn't watch this. Seams spoiler-heavy.
@nessisonett @Shepherd_Tallon I honestly don't remember Fort Condor from the original (but I played it 20 years ago).
@vapidwolf It's June 10
Square Enix at it again with the trailers that show WAY too much.
Oooof. Just go ahead and show the ending of the game and what I expect to be a main boss fight in the DLC. So glad I tuned out trailers for ff7r last year leading up to release. The final trailer spoiled (among other things) what was my favorite surprise in the game
@ShogunRok Maybe next time they can show us the ending that will take away some effort.
no interested in trailers or seeing anything about this.i want the whole thing unfold before my eyes as i play through!
I'm playing through this entire thing again in 60fps! Can't wait!
Of course I'm here for it.
I can't wait to replay this game on PS5!
While it very much sucked to lose 2 years worth of save files (Sony, seriously, can cloud saves just be free already?!), replaying games on PS5 has been the silver lining to this whole thing.
Days Gone in 60fps has been a treat. God of War in 60fps is game-changing! Really hoping for a Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn 60fps patch sometime in the near future.
Next up, Final Fantasy VII: Re-Make (to spoilerish when written this way?) as a native PS5 version? Yes, please! That improved lighting and texture work is really paying off - I could barely tell the difference between in-game and cutscene graphics!
What was square thinking giving away the ps4 version with no upgrade and then expecting us to fork out £70 for the dlc 2 months later?
It's not happening!
@ShogunRok take it i should give this trailer a miss then if i have completed remake, but am there day 1 for episode intermission?
@Rob_230 Yeah I'd just avoid it anyway — I wish I hadn't watched it!
I remember the original Mass Effect trailer that spoilt all the story plot points. Classic.
@ShogunRok Thanks. I'll give it a miss in that case 🙂 hopefully the whole thing won't be spoiled on release as i plan to play Ratchet before getting to this.
With Fort Condor being in this can we assume it wont be Part 2?
This remake has taught me to be ready for anything. But I still wasn't ready to see Nero and Weiss.
Nothing gets me more excited than a remaster (or whatever made up word Square is using this time) of a game I played last year!
@Omniicron Yeah, I have a feeling they're going to miss out that whole section, darn it.
@nessisonett absolutely terrible minigame 🤣 Ehatever they do it will be better than the original
@TimeDelayedGamer My guess is now that they'll end the dlc with a cut scene at Nibelheim and then we'll skip a whole bunch of other stuff as well, maybe ending at For Condor itself? I'm not sure, but I really want the world map in just high definition, even if you're represented by an icon or car instead of over sized body.
@Loftimus You can find the PS4 paid version for way less than that. It's a free upgrade to PS5 from there and then you'll just have to pay for the Yuffie DLC if you want it.
It's taking everything I have not to watch this trailer!
@ILikeStake not on digital. I'm hoping the deluxe edition add on for £15 will become the upgrade and then we just have to pay for dlc.
Part 2 in Junon confirmed?
@Loftimus Ah yeah, if you bought the digital only PS5 you're right.
@mariomaster96 Square-Enix has already confirmed the DLC will be $20 USD in the USA (dunno about other region pricing).
@Loftimus At least the Yuffie DLC by itself is only $20 USD, so just buy FF7 Remake PS4 when it's on sale for $20 USD and that's $40 USD instead of $70 USD.
