Immortals Fenyx Rising gets its third (and maybe final) expansion on the 22nd April. Titled The Lost Gods, it's actually a bit of a departure from the main game and its previous DLCs. Instead of being an open world action-adventure with free movement, this is more of a traditional action RPG, complete with a top-down perspective. As the headline states, it's a bit like the camera angle that you'd find in Diablo or, to give a more recent example, Hades.
We suppose that it's quite an interesting little twist on the Immortals formula, and it looks fun enough in the gameplay video that we've embedded above.

I got this on PS5 but saving it for my holiday next month.
I loved Zelda Breath of the Wild on my Switch and this looks similar style gameplay so i should love it.
The latest DLC expansion looks fun!
Well this is a cool change!
When a game is advertised as “ it’s like this meets this” you know it’s mediocre or the person hyping it is simply phoning it in
Such a great game overall. I love that they're not afraid to really take risks with the DLC. Between the 3 DLCs we have what amounts to a post-game challenge pack of all new dungeons, an alternate mini-campaign with some experimental puzzle ideas on a new map, and now this experimental genre-change of taking the basic game mechanics and working them as an isometric hack & slash almost like a separate spinoff game. DLC rarely impresses me but they've done such a great job with this set it really seems worth the money if you like the overall game.
I've been enjoying this game a lot but I'm not sure what to make of this tbh. I'll judge it after I've played it I guess.
3D Hades - it's a thing.
I played Darksiders: Genesis for about 20 minutes last night and I had to stop b/c I realized it was really only going to be enjoyable multiplayer.
This isn't looking good to watch but we'll see what it plays like. At least they finally showed it, a day before it releases.
Must be fun working with DLCs in Ubisoft. They often try new things in their DLCs.
It looks fun! I'm inclined to actually buy the Season Pass
@2cents have you played it?
@AhmadSumadi I’ve put 7 hours in according to my Ubisoft account on PC and that feels like more than enough time necessary to see everything this game offers, luckily it only cost me the price of Uplay+ for a month
Now I’m finally understanding the appeal of Gamepass, try before you buy!
@2cents yeah. I feel the same about it. I think it’s fun but not great. I also think every game should allow 30-45 minutes of gameplay before we buy.
@AhmadSumadi Sony’s refund policy could allow us gamers (especially on all digital PS5’s) to play the game for say 2 hours max or something like that and easily avoid buyers remorse if we don’t want it, only allowing this option once per game per players account.
Well, if Blizzard won't make a new Diablo, I guess someone has to.
Hmm interesting change of pace for the game, definitely more intrigued now.
