Chivalry 2, the sequel to the incredibly popular medieval war game over on PC, will be launching on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on 8th June 2021. It'll be priced at £34.99/$39.99 for the base version while a special edition can be picked up for an extra $10/£10. You may have the chance to get your hands on the game a few months earlier, however, as a closed beta will be made available at the end of March. It'll feature 64-player battles and cross-play support.

As part of a press release, Torn Banner Studios founder Steve Piggott said the team is firing on all cylinders. "Chivalry 2 is going to be everything fans of the first title dreamed of and so much more - from a combat system rebuilt from the ground up, to massive upgrades in scale and visuals." Meanwhile, Tripwire Interactive CEO John Gibson seems pretty chuffed about the team's commitment to cross-play. "They’ve crafted something very special with Chivalry 2, building the groundwork for a game that will allow players to experience epic medieval battles across all five major gaming platforms for years to come."

The game will include 12 different subclasses to role play as, feature maps on the scale of certain events from Game of Thrones, and lots of different modes. Team Objective, Team Deathmatch, and Free-For-All will be part of the closed beta next month. Are you looking forward to Chivalry 2 on PS5 and PS4?
