Hands up: who remembers Elasto Mania? Played on many a school computer in the early noughties, this side-scrolling platformer had you riding a bouncy motorcycle, using the floaty physics to navigate tricky levels. If it sounds like Trials, that's because it basically is. Anyway, believe it or not, the game is being brought to PlayStation 5 and PS4 with Elasto Mania Remastered.
On the official website, developer Elasto Mania Team announces this console release, which follows on from a version put out on Steam last year. Apparently, the remaster includes all the enhancements from the recent PC version "with additional never-before-seen higher fidelity assets straight from the original creators of Elasto Mania that couldn't be added to the game 20 years ago".
It's scheduled to arrive sometime in 2021, and you can sign up for beta testing through here. Are you interested in revisiting Elasto Mania on PS5 and PS4? Pop a wheelie in the comments section below.

What year is it indeed? Last night I drank Surge, ate 3D Doritos, and played Tony Hawk Pro Remastered 1+2. I'm glad to see obscure games getting a rerelease, not just the major ones.
@StrawberryPink Wait, 3D Doritos are back?!
@get2sammyb Yeah, at least it is in the US where I live. There's a mildly spicy nacho version and a mildly spicy cool ranch version.
Personally, I'd have gone with 'Kickstart-esque', but I doubt half your readers would have a clue what that meant.
@StrawberryPink I actually Googled after your comment. Seems to be just US for now, but I hope they make it over here too!
I used to love this game! I was so happy when Trials HD came out, it was like a combination of this and Junior Kick Start.
@Paranoimia Kickstart with Peter Purves! Or Kikstart if you remember the C64 and Mastertronic...
Ya'll making me feel old. We played Oregon Trail and Number Munchers on our Apple IIs back in my day.
@sanderson72 "Kikstart' (as in the game) is what I actually typed, though it seems autocorrect stepped in again. But yes, I watched Kickstart as well!
I've only recently started playing Trials Fusion... got it via Plus a while back (I think... may have bought it in a sale, but can't remember), but hadn't touched it until now.
@Jayslow I played Oregon trail whilst working my way through 1001 games to play before you die. It is a lot more fun than many of the games in the first 70-80 in the book (it's in chronological order), possibly because it's historical and more realistic than many of the games back then.
Iwould love something to replace my Trials Frontier fix, but this doesn't look like it.
Heh Elasto Mania. The first bike platformer ever made. (yes, you can oppose with Excite Bike on Nintendo or ATV simulator on ZX Spectrum, but those were racers)
